Adult Day Services

Our program is designed to provide purposeful day activities and supports to individuals with different abilities.This is accomplished by developing a “menu” of activities from which participants can choose to participate in. The program strives to provide activities that incorporate practical life experiences, which are person centered and supported by the participant's ISP Plans.

• Recreation and social activities such as playing cards, enjoying sports or exercise, arts and music appreciation, dances, using computers, and spending time with friends.
• Community outings such as trips to restaurants, museums, fairs and festivals, parks, shopping malls, movie theaters and concerts.
• Supportive learning environment with opportunities to build new skills while maintaining present abilities in mobility, communication, academics, self advocacy and independent living.
• Community integration such as volunteer opportunities, community and career exploration.

• Personal attention to your needs and desired outcomes.

Different Abilities can also be your first step to community employment! Through the our program  individuals interested/identified for community employment can begin to build skills necessary for successful employment. Individuals seeking employment will work on developing or improving vocational skills like: attendance, productivity, appearance, punctuality, attitude/interaction/cooperation and safety. Once these skills are learned they will work with our Vocational Development Department staff to identify, explore and obtain employment.

Community Integration is designed for individuals who live at home and would benefit from specialized training targeting the enhancement of daily living activities, communication, socialization, and community awareness skills.

Home & Personal Care

Our home care program focuses on the needs of those we serve. We provide companionship, house keeping, in home services, and community integration. Our employees are caregivers who build a rapport with our clients. We provide enhancement of daily living activities, communication, socialization, and community awareness .Different Abilities will help find to attend in the community. We will assist with any other needs you may have.

Vocational Habilitation

Our goal is to successfully match your work skills and interests to an excellent job in the community! We want you to enjoy going to work and feel confident in your position. Together we will discover different types of jobs that suit your personality and effectively use your job skills.Different Ability clients have opportunity to experience work and receive training to explore individuals' strengths and interests, develop relationships, build confidence and learn important work skills.  Individuals will earn a paycheck and be trained. Through Vocational and Employment Services, you will continue to develop your on-the-job skills to help ensure you are the best that you can be. We provide assessment services, job development and placement, job training/coaching, travel training, and continuous support to both you and your employer.

• Classroom instruction is so important in building self-awareness and helping individuals think about what’s next on their career path. Instructors focus on work-related and social skills targeted at helping individuals succeed at work.

Supported Employment Services are all about assisting you in getting a job that is personalized to your interests, strengths and needs. Supported Employment Services provide long-term job coaching support and can assist whenever you have new tasks to learn. Working closely with our dedicated team of coaches, you'll develop natural supports in the community and receive assistance if needed to address other issues that could affect your work or personal life.
We also provide Non Medical Transportation to get you to your job on time!
